chocolate raspberry pearfection    


Ingredients:

1  (10-oz.) pkg. frozen raspberries in syrup, thawed*
4  canned pear halves in light syrup, well drained
1  carton (14 fl. oz.) Häagen-Dazs® Vanilla Raspberry Swirl Frozen Yogurt or Raspberrry Sorbet
  Chocolate-flavored syrup
  Fresh raspberries, if desired
  Fresh mint leaves, if desired




Preparation:
1. In blender container or food processor with metal blade, place raspberries with syrup; blend until smooth. Pour puree through a fine wire mesh strainer, pressing with a rubber spatula to remove seeds. Refrigerate raspberry sauce until ready to serve.
 
2. To serve, spoon raspberry sauce onto each plate. Carefully make 4 vertical cuts in each pear; gently fan pears. Place 1 pear half on each plate. Place 1 scoop (1/2 cup) frozen yogurt or sorbet next to each pear. Drizzle pears with chocolate syrup. Garnish with fresh raspberries and fresh mint leaves, if desired.

* Substitute chocolate-flavored syrup for the raspberry sauce.
